1. About Us
Meat Me In Essex is an independent butchery business operating in Harlow, Essex. By placing an order through this website you agree to these terms. Our contact email is hello@meatmeinessex.co.uk.
2. Orders & Confirmation
- Placing an order through this website is an offer to purchase. A contract is only formed when we confirm your order by phone or WhatsApp.
- We will contact you to confirm your delivery date and discuss any requirements. Please ensure your phone number is correct when ordering.
- We reserve the right to decline or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, there has been a pricing error, or we are unable to fulfil delivery to your postcode.
- All prices shown are per kilogram (unless stated otherwise) and subject to change. The price shown at the time of ordering is the price you will pay.
3. Delivery
- We deliver across Essex within our defined delivery zones (up to 30 miles from Braintree).
- A delivery fee applies based on your zone. Zone 1 (up to 10 miles) is free.
- We do not deliver to Greater London postcodes due to ULEZ and Congestion Charge restrictions.
- Delivery dates are agreed by phone or WhatsApp after your order is placed. We do not guarantee specific time slots.
- Someone must be available to receive the order. If we cannot deliver, we will contact you to rearrange.
4. Payment
- Payment is by bank transfer before or on delivery.
- We do not accept cash or card payments.
- Final weight-based prices will be confirmed before delivery where applicable.
5. Products & Quality
- All meat is freshly prepared to order. Cuts are hand-portioned and weights may vary slightly.
- Products are supplied for human consumption only and must be refrigerated immediately upon receipt.
- If you have any concerns about the quality of a product received, please contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
6. Cancellations & Refunds
- You may cancel your order at any time before we confirm it by contacting us via WhatsApp or email.
- Once an order has been confirmed and preparation has begun, cancellations may not be possible. We will always try to accommodate reasonable requests.
- If a product is faulty or significantly different from what was ordered, we will offer a replacement or refund in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
- As this is fresh food, we cannot accept returns of products that have been received in satisfactory condition.
7. Allergens & Food Safety
For full allergen information, please see our Allergen Information page. All products are prepared in an environment that handles various meats. If you have a specific dietary requirement or allergy concern, please contact us before ordering.
8. Liability
We are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from an order. Our total liability to you shall not exceed the value of the order in question. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
9. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
